District and Residential Composting
Behind the scenes of each BBH cafeteria, the staff have begun composting food scraps and waste with the goal of eventually having the students join in. This new partnership with Rust Belt Riders is part of a district wide sustainability effort.
In the meantime, you can start composting at home. Rust Belt Riders and Brecksville-Broadview Heights have teamed up to offer two new Community Composting Drop-off Sites, conveniently located on BBH campuses! Our elementary drop-off is located at the central exit of the parking lot. Sign-up at rustbeltriders.com to get access to the program and begin composting your food scraps at home! Residential memberships count towards helping our district with their composting program. See this flyer for more info! If you are an existing member, you can update you drop-off location by calling customer support at 216-800-4651 ext 2 or email [email protected]. Become a Compost Champion and join our region's leaders who are working to "Feed People, Not Landfills." |
