Art Club 2022-2023
Hi Parents/Guardians! Thank you so much for your interest in the BBH Elementary School Art Club. I am Katy Clark, a professional artist and mother of a 3rd grader at BBHES and a 6th grader at BBHMS. I am excited to offer this 5-week after-school Art Club! Classes will run every Monday from Nov. 21, 2022, to Dec. 19, 2022, right after dismissal until 4:45. Your child will be in the first-floor art room, I will walk all of the artists down to the front door pick-up zone at 4:45.
I will facilitate a positive art exploration atmosphere where the young artists can work hands-on with all kinds of colorful messy supplies, like Pastel chalks, Watercolor Paints, Acrylic Paints, Posca Paint Markers, Mod Podge, etc. My goal is to let them explore new materials using their talents while offering light instruction. I will teach techniques related to the medium of the class, a very general theme, and let them have fun creating.
I fully believe all ages can work side-by-side, so this class is K-5. Milestones are met at different ages, but, everyone can create a portrait, a landscape, etc. I can not wait to see what these brilliant kids will create! Please send them with a long t-shirt they can get super messy. I'll do my best to have them clean up before they get in your car!
Art Club will conclude with each artist bringing home a personalized multi-media sketchbook full of fun colorful artwork and plenty of blank pages for future creations. This book, my instruction, and, the supplies that are used in each class are all included in the class fee.
