Committee Chair Responsibilities: Holiday Shoppe

Overview
The Holiday Shoppe is an opportunity for our BBHES students in grades Pre-K to 5 to shop for presents for relatives before the holiday season.  Participants will be paired with a high school volunteer that will help them shop, wrap and pay for their presents.

Additionally, the event is paired with a mini Book Fair where families may shop for scholastic books.
Responsibilities
The Committee Chairs for Holiday Shoppe are responsible for the planning and execution of all details for the event.  The presidents and the VP of Social Enrichment are available for support.

Timeframe: November/December

Approximate time commitment: 20 hours

Responsibilities will include:
  1. Coordinate date and location of the event;
  2. Coordinate with vendor that supplies inventory, including: date of delivery, date of pickup, and finalize financial information;
  3. Procure supplies and decorations for the event;
  4. Coordinate with janitorial contacts for any tables or trash cans needed and availability of bathrooms;
  5. Recruit adult volunteers (cashiers) for the event using the PSO sign-up genius account;
  6. Recruit high school volunteers (shopping assistant and wrapping) for the event using the PSO sign-up genius account;
  7. Communicate details via facebook, PSO website, and the weekly PSO email.
  8. Be present at the event, oversee set-up and clean up.
